Synthetic Gypsum Rail Unloading

Valdes Engineering Company provided detailed engineering and procurement services for a synthetic gypsum railcar unloading facility for a major wallboard manufacturer. The scope of work included a complete layout of the facility, all civil engineering for a 1-1/2 mile railroad track loop from the main line into the new unloading facility, the design and specification of the conveyors and hoppers, the design of the 50' deep reinforced concrete unloading pit, and all associated requirements. Valdes was also responsible for project management, cost control, scheduling and the procurement of all major equipment and subcontractor services.
