Valdes Awarded GHG Emissions Monitoring Study

In response to the latest proposed legislation, 40 CFR Parts 86, 87, 89, et al. Mandatory Reporting of Greenhouse Gases; Proposed Rule, a major Midwest refiner has awarded Valdes the study phase of a project to investigate draft rule requirements. The draft rule requires monitoring unit-specific GHG emissions, as well as process data, and will also require monitoring feedstock and product volumes. The implications of this rule will require more metering, monitoring, calibration, record keeping and reporting requirements.
